Online study
Online Cybersecurity Degrees, Schools and Programs
330 programs with a verified online option. Online coursework can still come with campus residencies, in-person labs, proctored exams or live classes at set times — we record each separately, only as the school publishes it.
Fully online
16 online programs state that no campus visit is required.
Campus visits
4 require residencies or visits; the rest have not published a policy we could verify.
Live or self-paced
Synchronous, asynchronous or mixed classes, with the time zone of live sessions where published.
Internships
Online bachelor's programs may require a local internship; profiles say so explicitly.
Location
Browse by state
States with the most verified programs so far. Online programs appear under the school's state, which is not a residency requirement.
Specializations
Cybersecurity specializations
Mapped only from official curricula: a named concentration or track, or the degree's own required core.

Accreditation & CAE
Three different signals, kept separate
Institutional accreditation
Required for every school listed here. Checked against the U.S. Department of Education's accreditation database (DAPIP).
ABET program accreditation
Program-specific and optional. 33 listed programs appear in ABET's accredited-program database.
NSA CAE designation
A designation of the school, not accreditation. Among listed schools: 107 CAE-CD, 12 CAE-CO, 53 CAE-R.

Guides for applicants
309 listed programs show at least one verified scholarship, assistantship or service scholarship. Scholarships & funding explains CyberCorps SFS and other service-linked awards.

Listings are free and factual. Schools can add a missing program, correct a fact, claim their profile, or sponsor a clearly labelled placement on relevant degree, online, specialization and state pages. Sponsorship never buys editorial position.
Questions, answered
Which programs does this directory include?
Cybersecurity bachelor's and master's degrees and research doctorates at US schools with current institutional accreditation from a recognized accreditor — campus, online or hybrid. Dedicated security degrees and formal cybersecurity concentrations are both listed, and always labelled. Associate degrees, certificates, bootcamps, certification courses and generic IT or computer science degrees with only security electives are not.
What is the difference between a cybersecurity degree and a concentration?
A dedicated degree is itself in cybersecurity (for example an MS in Cybersecurity). A concentration is a formal cybersecurity track inside a broader degree; the diploma still names the broader field, so we show it as, for example, “MS in Computer Science — Cybersecurity Concentration”. Use the dedicated/concentration filter to see either.
What do ABET accreditation and NSA CAE designation mean?
ABET accredits individual programs; we show it only when ABET's own database lists that exact program. The CAE designation (National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, run by NSA with CISA and partners) belongs to a school and its validated program of study — it is not accreditation and does not cover every degree. Neither is required for a program to be listed.
Does “online” mean I never have to go to campus?
Not always. We record campus visits, residencies, in-person labs, internships and live-session schedules separately, exactly as each school states them. If a page does not say, we show it as not verified — never as “none”.
Is the tuition shown the total cost?
No. Tuition is shown with its basis (per credit, per term, per year or whole program), student category and academic year. A total is calculated only when the program publishes both a per-credit rate and its credits, and it still excludes fees and other costs of attendance.
Do you rank schools?
No. Listings are alphabetical by default and can be sorted by deadline or published per-credit tuition. Paid placements are labelled Sponsored, sit in their own section and never change the order of the directory.
Where does the information come from?
School identity from IPEDS (NCES), institutional accreditation from the U.S. Department of Education's DAPIP database, CAE designations from the official NCAE-C directory, ABET status from ABET's accredited-program database, and program facts from each school's own program, catalog, admissions and tuition pages. Every fact links to its source and shows when it was verified.
